THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR:

SLUGS

slugs can pose a health risk as potential carriers of rat lungworm disease (angiostrongyliasis). This disease is caused by a parasite that can infect humans if ingested accidentally, often through contaminated produce or water. While cases are relatively rare, they can lead to serious neurological complications in some individuals if untreated.

Prevention: Seal food and water, wash wild gathered produce, and wash your hand before eating.

CUTS

Exposing an open cut to water in streams can increase the risk of infection due to the presence of various bacteria and parasites

PACKING LIST

PROTECTION:

Unlike Black Rock City, Falls on Fire is green and moist. The climate here will be 60 - 85°F, humid, sunny, cloudy and chance of rain & mud. Bring things to protect you from these elements.

Waterfall and streams is get in at your own risk.

Mosquitos will make love and penetrate deep into your skin near the waterfalls if you are their chosen one. Use bug spray & repellant for prevent unwanted skin rape from mosquitos.

SLEEPING/CAMPING:

  • Something to sleep in: tent/camper

  • Bedding: foam pad/cot, pillow, sheets/blankets (extra in ziplock in case it get wet)

  • tarps, (optional floor tarp)

  • camp chairs, table for cooking and your gears.

  • earplug (one for music, one for sleeping)

  • sleep mask

  • lights & extra batteries

HUMAN FUEL:

  • Bring your own reusable Cups, bowls & utensils

  • cooler for your food and drinks

  • Enough food

  • drinking water (one gallon/day) + water you need to cook/clean

  • water filter (optional, there’s water and steams to filter water)

  • reusable water bottle

  • stove, pots & pan, knife, cutting board, cooking utensil if you plan on cooking

 HYGIENE:

A dip in the streams & waterfall would count as a shower! BUT please NO SOAP IN THE STREAMS. All soap, whether biodegradable or not, affects the chemistry of water streams and has a negative impact on fish and other organisms

  • toilet paper & baby wipes (flushable ONLY)

  • toothbrush & toothpaste

COVER UPS:

Falls On Fire is a clothing optional event.

  • whatever cloth you want to wear. Maybe that cloth you been waiting for the right time to wear, that been collecting dust for years.

  • Clean underwear and extra socks

  • swimwear if you want

  • warm layers at night

  • rain poncho/rain jackets (stay dry)

  • hat/sunglasses (protect from sun)

  • boots (keep your feet mud free)

  • water shoes (slippery rocks at the streams)

ELECTRONICS:

  • headlamps, preferably with red light. (So you don’t run into things or trip on cow patties and literally eat sh*t)

  • light up yourself and your camp up, so others don’t run into you and your things.

  • powerbank & cords for your electronics.

  • generators

MISCELLANEOUS

  • First-aid kit (sometimes you just can’t kiss things better)

  • duct tape (fix everything)

  • pocket knife

  • bins (to organize your things)

  • lighters (everyone ask for them)
